DAVID G. BUTLER is an honor graduate from Parchment High School, and Alma College in Alma, Michigan. Mr. Butler received his law degree from Capital University in Columbus, Ohio in December, 1979. Mr. Butler is a member of the State Bar of Michigan, Kalamazoo Bar Association and the Michigan Trial Lawyers Association. He is the former past president of the Kalamazoo Trial Lawyers and a former Director of the Kalamazoo County Bar Association. Additionally Mr. Butler is a fellow of the Michigan State Bar Foundation. Mr. Butler has lectured at many seminars on behalf of the Michigan Institute for Continuing Legal Education and has been a guest speaker at both the Detroit and Kalamazoo Bar Associations. Mr. Butler has authored a chapter in Michael Morgan's Defense of Drunk Driving. Mr. Butler served on the Board of Dillon Hall, a non-profit government subsidy housing complex for senior citizens. Mr. Butler is an active member of the Parchment Lions Club and is past President of the organization. Mr. Butler has served the children of the community as a coach in soccer, basketball and baseball. Attorney Butler limits his practice to criminal defense. In the past twenty plus years he has tried in excess of four hundred jury trials in the district and circuit courts of southwestern Michigan.
